A Cardboard house

7-year-old son made a small house using a cardboard last Tuesday.

This is the living room on the first floor.

He made a table, TV, sofa, room light, window, and steps.

This is the second floor.

There are some books in the bookshelf.

My son wrote their titles on each book.

There is a wash room behind the door.

The picture of a flower is hung on the wall.

He was absorbed in making this for a while.

I was really impressed with his detailed work and creativity.

Tissue-pack marketing

Our company sometimes does the tissue-pack marketing for a sales promotion.

We stand in front of the shopping mall and hand out small portable tissue packages with flyers of our company to passers‐by. 

I did it yesterday.

It is very interesting because I can encounter various kinds of people.

When they pass by in front of me, I say " Hello, we are ~ (the name of our company)", then hold out a small pack of tissue.

Some people receive it saying "Thank you."

Some people receive it, but they don't say anything and try to go through quickly.

Some very polite people stop walking and make a bow and receive it saying "Thank you".

Some people don't receive it and completely ignore me.

Some people show the palm of their hand to me and it means they don't want it.

In a rare case, there was a man who received it and threw our flyer away in front of me.

It is like people- watching.

I can see what kind of person I want to be through this work.

Beautiful Dawn

After my colleague quitted her job, we became busier as we expected.

I have been depressed recently because I was criticized from the customer about our company's  system and I also received a complaint about another staff.

I bought a book about how to manage stress, but reading this book made me more tired and stressful.

I also felt a headache and tiredness, so I thought I need to take a rest more.

Since I felt lack of sleep, I didn't take an online English conversation lesson in early morning to sleep more.

I usually get up at 4am, but recently I got up at 5:30am.

It could improve my psychosomatic bad condition.



I gradually try to get up early, I got up at 4:30am this morning after five days.

When I went to upstairs to hang our laundry, I could see a beautiful dawn.

I was also able to see a crescent moon and Venus in the purple sky.

Eastern sky had gradually becoming bright rainbow colors.

I was deeply impressed with such a beautiful view.

I was mesmerized for a while.

I felt that my trouble is not a big deal.

The power of nature cheered me up.

A farewell party

We held a farewell party of our coworker at Japanese food restaurant after we finished working yesterday evening.

All of my colleagues are mothers.

We chose all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink.

We ate shabu-shabu, sushi, tempura, and another Japanese food.

I ate them too much but we enjoyed eating and talking very much.



After I came back home, my children said,

"We bought cakes! Let's eat!"

My husband told me that they went to the movie and they bought cakes as a souvenir for me on their way home.

Actually I was already full, but I had to eat it in such situation.

While I was sleeping in midnight, I woke up because my stomach felt heavy and I felt sick.

I took digestive medicine and went to bed again.

But I couldn't fall asleep for a while because I still felt sick.

Everything in moderation.

Her last working day

When we were cleaning our office yesterday morning, one of my colleague told me,

"Today is the last day I can work with you. Thank you for everything! "

She will quit her job at the end of August because she injured her knees and it's painful for her though we need to be standing while working.

"Time flies. I will miss you."

I answered.


She started working at our company about 2 years ago.

She is very competent and has a lot of knowledge.

She can deal with various problems with our customers, but she never boasts about it.

She is 10 years older than me, but I work at our company longer than her.

I know that there are people who act big just because they are older.

But she never lords it over me.

She could have a calm discussion even if I would express a dissenting view with her.

She always taught me kindly when I asked things I didn't know to her, so her existence always let me  feel relieved.

We enjoyed talking together during lunch time.

Since we had a good team work, our company could achieve the increasing of year-on-year sales for five months in a row.



To say the honest, her retirement is a big loss for us, but I hope she will get better.

Our owner has not been able to find a person who will take her place.

That means we will be busy in September.

I really hope that our owner will be able to find a good person like her as soon as possible.

When I am busy

I canceled today's online English school because I needed to prepare today's meeting of our company.

I think I am in the very busy term now.

I wear many hats same as other mothers.

I am a mother of my two little children, I need to take care of them.

I am also my husband's wife, we need to help each other.

I am also a housewife, I need to do housework.

I am also a part time job worker, I need to work doing my best.

I am a member of PTA of my children's nursery school, I need to attend meetings, make documents, and attend to help children's events.

I am a resident of our town, I need to attend our town's activities.

I think it is happy to be busy.
 

Because that means I am required by the other people.

I tend to be irritated when I am busy.

But I try to think by this way.

I have still enough stamina to be able to keep healthy.

The day when I will not be able to do that I want to do will surely come someday when I will get older.

I would like to do my best while I can do.
