Welcome to our house!

The piano for my 6-year-old daughter which we bought last month finally came to our house yesterday!

I have been very busy making room for the piano for a month.

I changed the arrangement of the furniture, disposed what we don't need, tidied three closets up and put kids' toys away.

"Wow! How big! I want to play it!"

My daughter was so glad to see the piano, and she was playing it for a long time.

I was also really happy.

I played it, but it was completely different from playing the Electone.

I don't know how to use the pedals appropriately.

I will practice it with my daughter from now on, it will surely be fun for me and give me great happiness.

In fact, it was my birthday yesterday.

My husband made dinner for us and they celebrated my birthday.

It was one of the happiest days for me this year.

~~~ Notice ~~~
I have been writing this blog for two years to improve my writing skills.
But recently, it is difficult for me to spare my time to write it.
I have been very busy for my work, house chores, looking after my kids.
I hate to say this, but I'm going to stop writing it regularly.
And I will delete the links of other blog sites except Google+.
I would like to spare my time to improve my speaking skills, it hasn't improved yet even though I could pass the exam of Eiken Grade Pre-1.
I am grateful to all of you who came to my blog.
I am sorry for my late replies to the comments, I will surely correct my errors.
I might update it from time to time when I have something to wirte.
Thank you so much!
Thank you(^o^) for reading this article!
  1. Hello Kumi-san,
    Congratulations on your birthday and I hope that you and your family enjoyed it very much. Have a lot of fun with your new piano. You and your daughter certainly will be very busy learning to play it. The one advantage the piano has over Electone is that it will be easier to find tutorial videos on Youtube and other such places. Also I am not sure if you celebrate Halloween but if you do I hope it was fun. The Halloween donuts are amazing that they make in Japan. Even if you don't eat them they are nice to look at.
    And if you do not update your blog again, I would just like to say it has been fun trying to help you with your English writing. I can only hope that one day my Japanese writing gets as advanced as your English language blog.
    じゃあまた? :)
    Here is a list of some of the other issues found with the rest of the post:
    Should be:
    Should be:
    I don't know how to use the pedals appropriately.
    Reason: I assume that pedal should be plural as usually pianos have more than one foot pedal.
    Should be:
    I will practice it with my daughter from now on, it will surely be fun for me and give me great (pleasure/happiness).
    Reason: "be my fun and happiness" as far as I am able to determine is grammatically correct, but in English we would never say the sentence in that way.
    This line:
    It was one of the happiest days for me in this year.
    Should be:
    It was one of the happiest days for me this year.
    Reason: "in" is not needed in the sentence because "this year" already implies you are talking about the current year, as does the fact that you already mentioned when your birthday was.
    This line:
    I hate to say this, but I'm going to stop writing it reguraly.
    Reason: Correct spelling of regularly.
    1. Hi Terry!
      Thank you for the corrections and I am sorry for my late reply.
      It is getting colder and colder in Japan now, so recently I can't get up at 4am in the morinig.
      I need more time to do what I like.
      Actualy we didn't celebrate Halloween, we are still not familiar with it although some young people enjoy dressing up for Halloween.
      If you try to start writing a diary in Japanese, please inform me.
      I will be happy to help you(^^).
      Thank you so much!
    2. Hi Kumi-san,
      I have a blog at:
      https://terrywallwork.blogspot.co.uk/
      Though I generally use it to store articles from various places on the internet for me to study from.
      If my Japanese gets good enough I will start to write articles myself in Japanese but it is likely to be a very long time before I am at that level of skill.
      I also have a LINE account which at the moment is dormant. Which I may also use as it may be easier for native Japanese people to use. At the moment I only use that to view news and such like from Japan.
      LINE QR CODE: http://line.me/ti/p/MqyuFJJtga
      I also have an Ello account:
      Ello Account: https://ello.co/terrywallwork
      My twitter account name is:
      https://twitter.com/terrywallwork
      I am currently working my way through learning of Kanji and the various verb conjugations and particles. I am able to read very basic Japanese sentences but writing them is something I cannot yet do.
      I will keep you updated as to how I progress :)
      I have your blog followed so if you post again I will see the post.
