Power Yoga

I ordered a Power Yoga DVD and I received it yesterday.

I tried it with my 6-year-old daughter.

It was really nice.

I was able to do it and it made me relax.

I felt better than before.

10 years ago, I went to the Yoga studio once or twice a week.

I sometimes went there before work.

I chose one of the easy programs which I feel up to doing.

It was for about 21 minutes.

I wrote about my indefinite complaint in my previous post, but I feel like I can recover from it soon.

I have been pessimistic recently, but I feel like I can think positively.

I feel like I can get an awareness of myself.

I think to stay fit is one of the most important things in our age.

Indefinite complaint

Recently, I can't get rid of my fatigue, I wake up several times at night, and I have several tiny bad physical conditions.

I was not able to sleep well last night because It was hot and humid and my 7-year-old son kicked me several times while sleeping.

But I have an appetite, and I sometimes overeat.

As a result, I gained 3kg, and I feel my body heavy.

One of my co-worker who is 47 years old told me:

"When women turned 40, you will feel under the weather several times."

I am 40 years old now, I really agree with her.

I rarely have opportunity to exercise, so I thought this is because the lack of exercise.

Since I did Yoga before I got married, I searched Yoga video on You Tube and tried one of them for 10 minutes this morning.

But I felt sick after I finished it.

I was disappointed with myself.

Maybe I need to sleep more, not to eat too much, and exercise.

I try to do them little by little.

Over 40 degrees

When my 7-year-old son got up yesterday morning, he said:

"I have a headache."

I took his temperature, it was 38.3 degrees Celsius (100.94 degrees Fahrenheit ).

I told him:

"Oh, you have a fever. Are you OK?"

"Oh no!"

My 5-year-old daughter and my husband ran away and they wore masks.

"Did you see them? You found out who worries most about you, don't you?

"Yeah. Only you!"

I took a day off and took him to see a doctor.

The children's clinic uses the internet reservation system and it opens at 8am, so I made a reservation for seeing the doctor in the morning.

But the reservation system was closed after 15 minutes though it is usually opened until 11am.

I thought maybe it was because the flu is going around and too many people tried to make a reservation for seeing the doctor in the morning.

Children who are suspected of having the flu or other infectious diseases have to wait in an isolated waiting space, but all of them including my son were waiting for their turns in the isolated space, so there were no children in the normal waiting room.

I was relieved that his flu test came back negative.

The doctor prescribed some antibiotics and cold medicines.

But his temperature went up 40.2 degrees Celsius (104.36 degrees Fahrenheit) in the afternoon.

I guessed the timing of flu test was too early, so the result was negative, but maybe he had the flu.

His fever wasn't likely to go down.

So I made my children wear masks and I prevented my 5-year-old daughter from approaching my son.

He had medicines and went to bed at 8pm.


My son went to the wash room at 11pm.

He was not hot when I touched him.

I took his temperature, it was 37.3 degrees Celsius ( 99.14 degrees Fahrenheit ).

"Good for you! Your fever went down. How do you feel now?"

"I don't have a headache."

He went to sleep again.


His fever had gone down this morning.

Actually, I have had persistent diarrhea since last Wednesday, and I had a headache this morning.

But I have recovered from both of them.

Mothers can't relax when children are waking up.

My secrets to prevent catching a cold

Flu is now has been going around in Japan.

I have my own secrets to prevent catching a cold.

First, of course enough nutrition and sleep are essential.

Next, I wear a mask when I sleep, so that my throat won't dry out.

It makes my face warm, and it does not make it difficult for me to breathe.

Lastly, I drink Japanese green tea during the winter season because it has an anti-bacterial effect.

The last two measures are especially effective at preventing me from catching a cold.
