Harry Potter

On our way home yesterday evening, I don't remember why, but my 6-year-old son and I were talking about Harry Potter movies.

I like the Harry Potter series.

I read all the books and watched all the movies.

I have thought that I would like my children to read Harry Potter someday, but I also have thought that it's not the time yet because especially my 5-year-old daughter would be scared of "you-know -who".

After dinner, I searched Harry Potter on YouTube, then I found the trailer of "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone", so I showed it to my children.

"Wow! The drawings on the wall are moving! It looks fun! I want to watch it!"

My 6-year-old son was so excited to watch the trailer.

In fact, I wanted him to read the book first because he could imagine the scenes in the story before having an image finalized by the movie.

But since I also wanted to watch it after a long interval, we started watching the video.

To my surprise, they were totally absorbed in the story.

Whenever the characters used magic, they were so excited.

My daughter was scared of the three headed dog just a little.

I stopped the video in the middle because it was the time to take a bath.

My son got angey with me.

"Oh, I can't wait to watch the next part! Mom, please tell me what happens next!"

"No way! You should save the best for last!"

Harry's parents were murdered by Voldemort.

I am interested in my children's impression of the movie as a mother.

The future 30 years later ~ from my favorite movie ~

Oct. 21, 2015 is the day which Marty Mcfly made a time travel with DeLorean in the famous movie "Back to the Future 2 ".

When I found the hot searching keyword at the portal site yesterday, I was so glad because it is my favorite movie.

I watched this movie on TV when I was a high school student.

It was extremely interesting for me, so I was in stitches the whole movie.

2 and 3 were also very interesting.

I guessed how the future would be, like in the movie.

I bought books of these movie, which included all lines.

I practised reading while watching the movie many times.

I could know the new slangs like "Great Scott!" , "Are you chicken?".

Back to the future series were one of the biggest reason why I had a big interest in English.

Oh! Has Tokyo been destroyed?

Oh! What happened? Has Tokyo been destroyed?

No, this is a miniature of the town.

I visited to the sience museum to look at the special exhibition entitled "Special effects Museum" with my family yesterday.

Special effects are often used in Japanese movies and TV programs like "Godzilla".

I was very impressed with those technological strength!

These looked like real town.

We also watched the short movie that the special effects were used and then we also watched the making of it.

These were so exciting and I was deeply impressed by them!

Middle-aged producers were getting absorbed to make the scene of one second.

When they were able to shoot convincing scene, they were delighted with a brilliant smile like a boy!

My children also enjoyed the short movie.

I was worried that my 4-year-old daughter would be afraid of the scary character that came out in the movie.

But she told me, "I was not scared, it was fun!".

There are some interesting things in this science museum.

For example, the chemical symbol of elements are written to a locker.

And a chemical formula is written to the vending machine.

Her Elsa & His Elsa (from "FROZEN")

"FROZEN" is the movie which our family watched  together for the first time.

They enjoyed very much and we often sing "Let It Go", "Do You Want To Build a Snowman?", "For the First Time In Forever"  together (We sing in Japanese).

Yesterday my 4-year-old daughter drew a picture of Elsa and showed me.

She likes Elsa very much and I could see that how much she likes Elsa from her picture.

She drew this picture without seeing something, she definitely has a strong impression to the scene of "Let It Go".

She likes Elsa's dress very much and she wants to wear it like Elsa.

Since I was impressed by her picture, I asked my five-year-old son to draw the picture of Elsa.

He consented unwillingly and drew.

......Don't you think it is funny?

WHY did he draw Elsa by red pencil??

Besides, he drew this picture on the paper which a picture was drawn on on the back.

I could see how much he has no interest in Elsa.

Although they are brother and sister, their interests are completely different.

This is so interesting for me.

By the way, both of my children like drawing very much and they often get absorbed in drawing.

My son likes the dinosaurs and fishes, so he often draw their pictures.

I could see from the picture that he drew it eagerly unlike Elsa's picture!
