The follow-up report

This is continued from yesterday's post.

The flight which my husband was supposed to take was finally canceled though they had been kept waiting for 6 hours!

The reason was surprising.

The aircraft had been fixed and they announced that they had been ready for departure.

But after a while, they announced to the passengers that the flight was canceled because the captain would have to work overtime if they flew to Japan.

He was forced to stay overnight in the US.

The airline company prepared an extra flight for them, and it is flying to Japan on schedule now.

Unfortunately, his connecting flight in Japan is already full, so he will have to take Shinkansen (bullet train).

But he will come home tonight at last.

The event will become an unforgettable memory for us.

  1. Hello Kumi-san,

I am glad to hear that your husband will soon be back home. I think I would actually prefer to travel on the Shinkansen rather than the plane. I hope that it is a nice Shinkansen inside. Will it take much longer to travel by Shinkansen than it would by plane?

Here are the issues found in the post.

    1. Thank you Terry.
I still have a lot of mistakes related to prepositions. It is difficult for me.
Yes, it take much longer to travel by Shinkansen than it would by plane.
In my husband case, he came by plane, it takes three times faster than by Shinkansen beucasue he had to transfer twice if he came home by train and Shinkansen.
I guess it is hard for travelers to take trains with a lot of baggage!
