Gyoza is kind of Chinese dumpling and it is popular among Japanese people.
It takes a lot of time for me to make them because I need to chop many vegetables finely and wrap the ingredients in Gyoza skins.
She tried to wrap it but it was difficult for her to make pleats!
But I praised her to try it.
Handmade Gyoza was so yummy!
Gyoza skins were crispy and meats were juicy!
But my 6-year-old son didn't eat them and my daughter ate only one though she suggested this party first.
And yet, she told me "Let's have party again!"
Maybe she doesn't like Gyoza but only likes holding a party because it is fun for her to make dinner with family!

As you kindly invite comments on your blog entry, I'd be ready to oblige. It's really great to know how a loving mom has quality time with her daughter. It's just that I found a typical mistake many Japanese people make without knowing it. The culprit is the expression "I challenged it"「私はそれに異議を唱えました/それに対抗しようとしました」. If you look up the word "challenge" in the English dictionary (英英辞典,not 英和辞典), as verb, it doesn't have a meaning of "try something (…にチャレンジする)。 You can use it as noun to mean "チャレンジ". You may want to read an article I wrote in my blogging site about how to use "challenge" properly. You can find it in the category entitled "激ヤバ和製英語に注意". Anyway, I enjoyed reading your account of the happy party.

ご指摘頂きありがとうございました!英英辞典、ぜひ使ってみたいと思います。日々手探り状態でなんとか書いている状態ですので、またおかしな点など見つけられましたら、ぜひお気軽にコメントいただけたら嬉しいです。ありがとうございました!
念のため I'd be ready to oblige. を私が持ってる複数の和英辞書で見てみましたが,危惧していた通り載っていませんでした。これは「あなたの要望に応える準備ができております」という意味の丁寧な表現で,英英辞書には普通に載ってます。I'd be happy/glad to oblige. 「喜んであなたの願いにお応えしましょう」という言い方もできます。このように英和辞書は当てにならないことが結構多いのです。ですので,ピンと来なかったり,ちょっとおかしいなと感じたら,英英辞書で調べて見ることをお勧めします。 英語教室 Lingo-Filed
